What we collect
- Inquiry form: name, email, phone (optional), shoot details, attachments you upload (moodboards or PDF).
- Newsletter signup: email address and the language you prefer.
- Site usage: aggregate, anonymous statistics via Plausible Analytics. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers.
- Server logs: standard hosting logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) kept by our hosting provider for security and uptime, deleted automatically after 30 days.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your inquiry and prepare a quote (legal basis: contract, GDPR art. 6.1.b).
- To send the newsletter you signed up for (legal basis: consent, GDPR art. 6.1.a). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every newsletter.
- To understand which parts of the site work well (legal basis: legitimate interest, GDPR art. 6.1.f). We use Plausible Analytics, which is privacy-first and does not track you across sites.
- To prevent abuse and spam on our forms (legal basis: legitimate interest).
Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted processors. Each has a data processing agreement (DPA) with us and processes data only on our instructions.
- Supabase (storage of inquiries and uploads, hosted in the EU)
- Resend (sending email confirmations and notifications)
- Klaviyo (newsletter delivery, on the 1605 Collective account)
- Vercel (website hosting)
- Plausible Analytics (aggregate, cookie-free analytics, hosted in the EU)
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We only disclose it to authorities if we are legally required to.
Some of the processors above (Resend, Vercel, Klaviyo) are based in the United States or process data partly in the US. For such transfers outside the European Economic Area we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) of the European Commission as concluded with these parties, in line with GDPR chapter V.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries and quotes: up to 24 months after the last contact, so we can pick up returning conversations.
- Booked clients: for the duration of the rental relationship plus 7 years (Dutch tax law on financial records).
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, or after 5 years of inactivity (no opens or clicks). After that we clean up the profile.
- Server logs: 30 days.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us to:
- Send you a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your data (subject to legal retention rules)
- Stop processing your data for a specific purpose
- Receive your data in a portable format

If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you can file a complaint with the Dutch DPA: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Cookies and tracking
This site uses no marketing cookies and no third-party tracking. Plausible Analytics is cookieless. We use one functional preference cookie:
1605-locale— remembers the language you picked (en/nl). Retention: 12 months, or sooner if you clear your browser cookies. Functional cookies are exempt from consent under article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act.
